Terms of Use

The Discipleship Bible Institute provides a personalized free subscription service that allows our subscribers to access videos, courses, lessons, and lectures on biblical theology (“Discipleship Bible Institute content”) streamed over the Internet to certain computers and other Internet-connected devices (“devices compatible with the Discipleship Bible Institute”).

These Terms of Use govern your use of the Discipleship Bible Institute service. As used in these Terms of Use, the terms “Discipleship Bible Institute service,” “our service,” or “the service” refer to the personalized service provided by the Discipleship Bible Institute for searching and viewing Discipleship Bible Institute content, including all features and functionalities, recommendations and ratings, the website and user interfaces, as well as all content and software associated with the service.

1 – Subscription

1.1. Your subscription to the Discipleship Bible Institute will renew every cycle (monthly or annually) until canceled. To use the Discipleship Bible Institute service, you need Internet access and a device compatible with the Discipleship Bible Institute, as well as providing one or more Payment Methods for paid plans. No credit card is required for the free plan. “Payment Method” means a current, valid, and acceptable form of payment that may be updated periodically and may include payment through your account with third parties. Unless you cancel your subscription before the billing date, you authorize us to charge the next month’s subscription fee using your Payment Method (see “Cancellation” below).

1.2. We may offer various subscription plans, including special promotional plans or subscriptions offered by third parties in conjunction with their own products and services. The Discipleship Bible Institute is not responsible for products and services provided by such third parties. Some subscription plans may have different conditions and limitations, which will be disclosed at the time of your registration or in other communications made available to you. 2 – Free trial periods

2.1. Your Discipleship Bible Institute subscription may or may not begin with a free trial period. This period will last as specified at the time of purchase or during registration and is intended to allow new and certain former subscribers to try the service.

2.2. Eligibility for the free trial is determined solely by the Discipleship Bible Institute, and we may limit such eligibility or duration to prevent trial abuse. The Discipleship Bible Institute reserves the right to revoke the trial and suspend your account if we determine you are ineligible. Residents of the same household with a current or recent subscription are not eligible. We may use information such as device ID, payment method, or email address used with a current or recent subscription to determine eligibility. Restrictions may apply when combined with other offers.

3 – Charges and cancellation

3.1. Billing cycle. The subscription price for the Discipleship Bible Institute service and any other charges incurred in connection with your use of the service, such as taxes and potential transaction fees, will be billed monthly or annually to your Payment Method on the date corresponding to the start of your subscription period. In some cases, your billing date may change, for example, if your Payment Method was unsuccessful or your paid subscription began on a non-existent day of the month. The Free Plan is not subject to monthly or annual charges.

3.2. Payment Methods. To use the Discipleship Bible Institute service, you must provide one or more Payment Methods. You can update your Payment Methods by accessing the “My Charges” page. We may also update your Payment Methods using information provided by financial institutions and/or payment service providers. After any update, you authorize us to continue charging the applicable Payment Method(s). You authorize us to charge any associated Payment Method if your primary one is declined or no longer available. You are responsible for any unpaid amounts. If a payment is not successfully processed due to expiration, insufficient funds, or otherwise, and you do not cancel your account, we may suspend access to the service until a valid Payment Method is provided. Some financial institutions or payment providers may charge additional fees.

3.3. Cancellation. You may cancel your Discipleship Bible Institute subscription at any time, and you will continue to have access until the end of the billing cycle. To the extent permitted by law, payments are non-refundable, and the Discipleship Bible Institute does not provide refunds or credits for partially used subscription periods or for unwatched content. To cancel, go to the Eduzz system, then “My Account > My Subscriptions > Cancel Subscription” and follow the instructions. Alternatively, you can email contact@discipleshipbibleinstitute.com to request cancellation.

3.4. Price and subscription plan changes. We may periodically update our subscription plans and prices. Subscription fees may be adjusted to reflect the ongoing improvement of our service. We may also adjust the subscription price annually or more frequently in accordance with applicable law and based on inflation rates such as the General Market Price Index (IGP-M) or another applicable index. Any changes will only apply 30 days after notification.

4 – Discipleship Bible Institute service

4.1. You must be of legal age to subscribe. Minors may use the service only under adult supervision.

4.2. The service and all content viewed through it are for personal, non-commercial use only and may not be shared. During your subscription, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and view the content. No other rights are granted. You agree not to use the service for public screenings.

4.3. Content is primarily available in the country where you registered and only in regions where we offer the service and have licensed the content.

4.4. The content catalog is regularly updated.

4.5. You agree to use the service in compliance with applicable laws and not to copy, reproduce, distribute, display, or use content except as permitted in these Terms. You also agree not to use bots or reverse-engineer the platform or transmit malware. The service may be suspended or canceled for violations.

4.6. Video quality may vary depending on your device, location, available bandwidth, and connection speed. Not all content is available in HD. Standard playback settings on mobile networks exclude HD. We recommend at least 5.0 Mbps for HD streaming. You are responsible for any internet data charges.

4.7. The software used is developed by or for the Discipleship Bible Institute and may vary by device. You agree to receive automatic updates. Use of the service may require third-party software under separate licenses.

4.8. Certificates may be issued for specific courses or events with video hours. Only paid plan subscribers are eligible to request certificates.

5 – Passwords and account access. The account owner is responsible for account activity and must keep password and payment details confidential. The Institute may suspend the account to prevent fraud or protect the user.

6 – Warranties and limitation of liability. THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES. THE INSTITUTE IS NOT LIABLE FOR INTERNET CONNECTION QUALITY OR INDIRECT DAMAGES. Your consumer rights remain intact as per local law.

7 – Miscellaneous

7.1. Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of Brazil.

7.2. Unsolicited material. The Institute does not accept or assume responsibility for unsolicited content ideas.

7.3. Customer support. Visit the help center on our website. Remote access tools may be used for support with your consent.

7.4. Severability. If any clause is deemed invalid, the remainder remains in effect.

7.5. Changes and assignment. The Terms may be updated with 30 days’ notice. The Institute may assign the agreement at any time.

7.6. Electronic communications. Account-related communications will be sent electronically via email, WhatsApp, or other channels.
